A couple of months ago, I was fortunate to notice that Zero 7 was playing at the Avalon in Boston, the night before they played. Jumped on to TicketMaster, and lo and behold – I had 2 tix to the show. What? Taking a 3 hour drive (each way!), on a weeknight, just to see some music group? Yep. I have been hooked on Zero 7 ever since I heard "Destiny" on the soundtrack for "Blue Crush". That’s probably still one of my favorite songs. I had seen some of their videos and was thinking it might be worth a trip to the UK to see them! So, when I saw Boston, I knew I had to go. I wanted to see how so much music came out of a band.

I have to confess, there are times when I’m not so excited about some parts Kate Bush’s most recent album, Aerial. However, today I was listening to the song "Nocturn" and it blew me away. It’s a great example about what I love about Kate Bush overall – wonderful texture, interesting rhythms, and of course her soaring voice. This song in particular has a solid groove and lots of soul. There are some other wonderful pieces on there as well, but this is my favorite one today.
